Funerals

A Time for Reflection and Remembrance

Losing a loved one is never easy, and we at St. Mark’s Church are here to support you through this difficult time. We welcome everyone in our parish to hold a funeral service at our church or at the crematorium, conducted by our clergy or a member of our funeral team.

Who Can Have a Funeral at St. Mark’s?

You do not need to be a church member, religious, or a regular churchgoer to have a Church of England funeral. Our doors are open to all, and we are committed to providing a respectful and compassionate service for everyone.

Planning the Service

We understand that each funeral is personal and unique. We are here to help you arrange the funeral and plan the service to reflect the life and wishes of your loved one. Whether you prefer a small, quiet gathering or a larger service, we will tailor the arrangements to meet your needs.

Customizing the Service

  • Music & Hymns – Choose meaningful pieces to honor your loved one.

  • Readings & Prayers – Select passages that provide comfort and reflection.

  • Personal Touches – We encourage special tributes to make the service deeply personal.

Support Before and After the Funeral

We are here not only to assist in planning the funeral but also to offer support before and after the service. Our team is available to provide guidance, prayer, and a listening ear for you and your family.
