What is Youth Alpha?

A place to explore

A fresh space where young people can explore life’s biggest questions – together.
Designed for today’s generation, the new Alpha Youth Series explores themes of life, faith, and purpose in a relevant, honest, and authentic way.
Across ten engaging episodes over eight weeks, it introduces the core ideas of the Christian faith – not through lectures, but through stories, discussions, and connections.

Origins and Evolution

Founded in 1977 at Holy Trinity Brompton in London, Alpha was originally created with a focus on exploring the Christian faith. In 1990, Nicky Gumbel reshaped Alpha into a course specifically designed for those outside the church, offering an open space to discuss faith through a series of talks and group discussions.

How it’s going

Today, Alpha operates globally, with millions of participants across more than 100 countries. The course is available in over 100 languages, allowing people worldwide to explore the Christian faith in their own communities.

A Journey Made Just for You

A Life-Changing Experience

Everyone’s experience at Youth Alpha is unique – and that’s what makes it so exciting.
It’s a space where you can ask big questions about life and faith, have fun, and hear what others think too.
You don’t need to know anything about God, and no one will tell you what to believe.
It’s your space to listen, talk, and work things out in your own way.
