Begin Your Faith Journey with Baptism

What is Baptism?

Baptism is a joyful and significant milestone in the Christian journey. It is a sacred act of commitment, symbolizing new life, forgiveness, and belonging to the Christian faith. Through baptism, we welcome individuals into the church family and affirm God's love for them.

Baptism for Infants and Children

Baptism is a wonderful way for parents to thank God for the gift of their child and to seek His blessing as they grow in faith. Parents and godparents make promises on behalf of the child, committing to nurture them in a loving Christian environment.

If you are considering baptism for your child, we invite you to attend a baptism preparation session where we will discuss the meaning of baptism, the commitments involved, and answer any questions you may have.

Baptism for Adults

For those who have not been baptized as children, baptism is a profound step in declaring faith and commitment to the Christian life. Adults seeking baptism are encouraged to explore their faith through discussion and preparation before taking this important step.

What Happens During a Baptism?

Baptisms take place within a church service or as a separate ceremony. The key elements of the baptism service include:

  • Promises and Commitments – Parents, godparents, or the baptized individual make commitments to live a life of faith.

  • Water Baptism – The candidate is baptized with water as a sign of new life in Christ.

  • Welcome into the Church Family – The congregation affirms and celebrates the newly baptized as part of the Christian community.
